Man Stabbed in Salford Street as Police Launch Attempted Murder Investigation

A quiet Sunday night in Salford took a frightening turn when a man was stabbed on Capella Walk, just off Lower Broughton Road. The incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. on July 6, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed they were called to the scene following reports of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 50s suffering from stab wounds. Paramedics treated him on the spot before rushing him to hospital. Fortunately, his condition is currently described as stable.

A second man, also in his 50s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody this morning as detectives continue their investigation.
