Chelsea Eye Garnacho and Simons Ahead of Deadline

Chelsea are continuing their pursuit of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho and RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons this summer, according to Sky Sports. The Blues’ interest, however, hinges on the departure of key players, including Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, and Tyrique George.

Jackson missed Friday’s 5-1 victory over West Ham as he explores a potential move away, with Aston Villa and Newcastle United reportedly interested. Nkunku has been linked with Bayern Munich, while Roma has inquired about a loan for George. Should one of these players leave Stamford Bridge, Chelsea could move for either Garnacho or Simons before the September 1 transfer deadline, though not both.

TalkSPORT reports that Chelsea is also negotiating with Borussia Dortmund over midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, and defender Aaron Anselmino is expected to complete a move to the Westfalenstadion shortly.

In other transfer developments, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is attracting attention from Saudi Pro League club Al Ittihad. The Portuguese midfielder has reportedly requested a £33 million annual salary, having previously declined a “very ambitious” offer from Al Hilal. It remains uncertain whether United will sanction the move so close to the deadline, with Fernandes under contract at Old Trafford for another two years.

Tottenham Hotspur are seeking alternatives after missing out on Eberechi Eze, who joined Arsenal. Monaco midfielder Maghnes Akliouche and Leicester City youngster Bilal El Khannouss are among potential targets as Spurs strengthen their attacking options.

Manchester United are progressing in their pursuit of Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens. Fabrizio Romano reports that the 23-year-old has agreed personal terms, though a club-to-club fee remains under negotiation. Antwerp are reportedly holding out for €25 million, while United have offered around €20 million with add-ons.

Elsewhere, Bundesliga clubs, including Bayer Leverkusen, are monitoring Newcastle United striker William Osula, with a potential transfer before the window closes next week. Confirmed moves include Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Renato Sanches joining Greek side Panathinaikos on loan, and England U21 international Jonathan Rowe signing with Serie A club Bologna.

Additional rumours involve Crystal Palace targeting wingers Christos Tzolis and Yeremy Pino, Nottingham Forest competing with Leeds United for Strasbourg’s Dilane Bakwa, and AS Roma discussing a loan deal with Liverpool for Kostas Tsimikas. Galatasaray has agreed terms to sign Wilfried Singo from AS Monaco, while Fenerbahce are negotiating for Botafogo goalkeeper John Victor after a collapsed West Ham transfer.

Chelsea’s and Manchester United’s transfer plans remain closely watched as Premier League clubs finalise squads ahead of the new season.
