Officers tackle anti-social behaviour during National Week of Action

Doncaster South Neighbourhood Policing Team has been out in full force as part of the National Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Week of Action, and their efforts have paid off.

Throughout the week, officers carried out targeted operations across the community, focusing on hotspots known for crime and disruptive behaviour. The campaign led to several key results, including arrests for drug offences, the seizure of stolen and off-road motorcycles, and various enforcement actions against individuals causing disturbances.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police (SYP) said the team had been working closely with internal departments and local partners to tackle the issues head-on.

“It has been a very busy week for your Doncaster South NPT,” they said. “The team has driven activity for the ASB Week of Action. This is where SYP, partners, and various internal departments have worked together to target ASB and other criminal offending in the community.”

The week wasn’t just about enforcement. Officers also took time to engage with younger members of the community. School visits were part of the operation, where police talked to students about the role of law enforcement and the importance of staying safe and making positive choices.

“We’ve also had school inputs to show children of impressionable ages that SYP are here to help and protect everyone,” the spokesperson added.
