Four charged after security breach at Royal Air Force Brize Norton

Four individuals have been charged following a security breach at RAF Brize Norton, the UK’s largest and most strategically significant Royal Air Force base. The incident, which occurred on June 20, caused £7 million in damage after two Voyager aircraft were sprayed with red paint.

Thames Valley Police confirmed the arrests of Amy Gardiner-Gibson, 29, and Jony Cink, 24, both of no fixed abode, along with Daniel Jeronymides-Norie, 35, and Lewie Chiaramello, 22, both from London. All four have been charged with conspiracy to commit criminal damage and conspiracy to enter a prohibited place knowingly for a purpose prejudicial to the safety or interests of the UK.

They were remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow. The case is expected to attract significant public and media attention, particularly from groups concerned with military accountability and the right to peaceful protest.

RAF Brize Norton, located in Oxfordshire, is the primary air transport base for the British Armed Forces. It plays a central role in military logistics, personnel deployments, and repatriation operations. Given its strategic importance, the site is subject to tight security, and any unauthorized access is treated with the utmost seriousness.
