Israeli Companies Showcase Advanced Defense Technologies at UAE Defense Fair

In a landmark event reflecting the shifting dynamics of international defense partnerships, Israeli companies displayed cutting-edge military technologies at the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) held in Abu Dhabi on February 17, 2025. 

This year’s fair marks a significant moment for cooperation between Israel and the United Arab Emirates following the normalization of relations under the Abraham Accords.

The exhibition featured a range of advanced defense systems, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missile defense systems, and cyber defense solutions developed by Israeli firms. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who attended the event, emphasized the importance of collaboration in enhancing regional security. “This fair demonstrates our commitment to fostering partnerships that contribute to stability and security in the region,” Gallant stated.

The participation of Israeli companies at IDEX not only highlights the growing relationship between Israel and the UAE but also showcases the increasing interest from Arab nations in Israeli defense technologies. Industry experts noted that this cooperation could lead to significant advancements in joint military capabilities and intelligence sharing.
