Irish tech firm Landmark Technologies is investing €1.2 million to expand its Cyber Monitoring Centre in Dublin, aiming to strengthen its defences against rising cyber threats linked to artificial intelligence. The expansion will also create five new specialist roles.

The investment comes in response to a growing wave of complex cyber attacks that increasingly target businesses lacking internal cybersecurity capabilities. Managing Director Ken Kelleher said the company’s clients are facing a rapid evolution in digital threats, particularly from AI-driven sources, and require continuous protection.

As part of the upgrade, Landmark is equipping its monitoring centre with new AI-powered technologies that enable real-time threat detection, response, and continuous system surveillance. The expanded facility will support a wider range of services, including incident response and cybersecurity awareness training for clients and their staff.

Kelleher stated that many organisations are unprepared for the sophistication and frequency of current attacks, and noted that demand for proactive, intelligent cybersecurity solutions is growing across both public and private sectors.

Founded in 1998, Landmark Technologies offers a range of managed services, including cloud infrastructure, automation, IT support, and cybersecurity. The company’s latest investment highlights its commitment to long-term resilience, both for its clients and its operations.

The firm also intends to scale up its cybersecurity training efforts, helping businesses educate employees on how to identify risks, prevent breaches, and build a culture of digital security.

This development comes amid broader concerns over Ireland’s vulnerability to high-impact cyber attacks, particularly those targeting critical infrastructure and data-reliant sectors. By investing in AI-enabled tools and expanding its expert workforce, Landmark is positioning itself as a key player in safeguarding Irish businesses in a rapidly shifting digital landscape.

The company’s move also reinforces Dublin’s growing reputation as a hub for cybersecurity innovation, at a time when international and domestic firms alike are stepping up efforts to defend against increasingly sophisticated threats.
