Trade tensions following Donald Trump’s return to the White House have amplified concerns over the reliability of America’s alliance in Europe.

Cultural and institutional ties are also being strengthened. The agreement includes measures for visa-free school exchanges and a joint expert group to explore broader academic, cultural, and scientific cooperation. Discussions are underway about expanded rail connectivity via Eurostar services to Germany.
