The report revealed that 648 individuals with severe injuries were transported to hospitals for further treatment, while 899 people with minor injuries received first aid at accident sites by rescue teams.

Data from Rescue 1122 highlighted that among the victims were 897 drivers, 58 underage drivers, 178 pedestrians, and 490 passengers. The figures underline the continuing challenge of road safety in the province, with motorcycles being the most involved vehicles.

Lahore topped the list with 258 reported accidents affecting 301 individuals, followed by Faisalabad with 97 accidents and 113 victims, and Multan with 78 accidents resulting in 90 victims.

The breakdown of vehicles involved includes 1,353 motorcycles, 72 auto-rickshaws, 154 cars, 33 vans, 12 passenger buses, 47 trucks, and 150 other vehicles and slow-moving carts.

Authorities have urged drivers to follow traffic rules, avoid underage driving, and exercise caution on busy roads to help prevent such incidents. Road safety campaigns continue to be highlighted as a vital measure to reduce accidents across the province.
