Starvation Looms in Gaza: UN Warns of Dire Crisis as Aid is Stalled

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached a breaking point, with the United Nations warning that up to 14,000 infants could die within 48 hours unless aid is allowed to enter the region. Despite the presence of essential food, water, and medical supplies just kilometers from the Gaza border, Israel’s blockade has prevented these shipments from reaching civilians. The World Health Organization reports that approximately 2 million people in Gaza are starving, with food and essential supplies stuck at the border, exacerbating an already dire situation.

UNICEF has raised alarm about the impact on children, with over a million children in Gaza being deprived of lifesaving aid for more than a month. The suspension of aid deliveries has led to severe shortages of food, clean water, and medical care, while malnutrition and preventable diseases spread rapidly.
